As the name of blog says, this is all about helping Grandma. And this blog will help US to better help, care and love Grandma. This is a new phase for our extended family - having Grandma in a retirement center - with an opportunity to really serve Grandma with our time, our attention.
1) After each visit (or phone call) you make to Grandma make a post in this blog.
2) Tell what you did with her.
3) What her energy level was like.
4) What her mental/emotional state was like.
5) What, if anything, she ate.
Literally, it could be a two sentence post - it doesn't need to take more than 3-4 minutes. Through reading the posts everyone contributes we will have a better picture of how Grandma is doing and what we can do to make her happy and help her feel our love.
Cambria has been great to set up the Visiting Calendar, so we know who is assigned to what days. If you don't post we will assume that you haven't been able to visit (or call) her on your assigned day.
Also, this blog is a good place to notify the family if your assigned day doesn't work for you, and to perhaps trade with another family member.
